Depending on the remaining time left we plan to explore the Everest region as the final highlight of the journey. Options are to visit Everest Base Camp, the nearby ascent of Kala Patthar with close-up panoramas of Everest, Nuptse, and Pumori. Beyond the main Everest Basecamp trail, we can do side trip to hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp which leads into a quieter valley dominated by the south face of Ama Dablam. If weather and conditions permit, we plan additional crossing the Three Passes Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La and a potential ascend of Gokyo Ri, which offers a expansive panorama to Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu, as well as the lakes of the Gokyo Valley below.
